The idea behind Evee AI started with a simple but frustrating reality: hiring was broken. Scheduling interviews dragged on, the questions felt repetitive, and talented candidates often slipped through the cracks — especially for fast-moving teams that needed to hire quickly and efficiently. Eli Yu, the founder of Evee AI, experienced this problem firsthand. While studying at UW and NYU, he organized recruiting events to help companies connect with students.
After college, he co-founded SpeedX AI, a data-labeling company that scaled to over $1 million in revenue. But even as his team grew, the hiring process stayed painfully slow and chaotic. That’s when Eli realized the process needed more than just people — it needed intelligence. He built Evee AI to streamline hiring through automation, AI interviews, and smarter matching.
